Info: The often disputed leader of the Empire, Kydora's rise to the head of her people was a trial of sacrifice and blood. Having no record of her parents or any family history, she was shunned from her attempts to become involved politically. Eventually she decided to take a direct approach and kill the Zevestivan Monarch in a fight. Naturally, she mauled his face off and won.
Being the first female to lead their people, Kydora's methods are considered unorthodox and are looked down upon by the more fanatic and religious members of the government such as Kolmahn. Regardless, she has shrugged off multiple assassination attempts and continues to strive for peace with her galactic neighbors.
Her ultimate goal is mutual understanding and cultural integration between every alien race. For once in sci-fi history, this scary alien leader actually means it. While playing as the Zevestivan players will come to sympathize with Kydora as she sacrifices of herself to obtain this goal only to be framed and portrayed as a monster by V.R.A. propaganda. Eventually her grand plans fall apart before her eyes and she loses herself to rage, declaring war on the V.R.A. and spiraling down in a self destructive fit of vengeance.
In game, Kydora will be one of the first characters players will get to control. Her ship, the dreadnought known as the Vegator, is armed with dozens of pulse disruptors and radiation volleys. In addition her ship can be outfitted with a tactical nuke, arguably the most powerful weapon in the game. As her nature suggests she gains access to larger and more powerful Zevestivan ships that the other characters do not, and overall she has a focus on battleship strategy.
